    Change & Returns

    14 day approval period.

    Your opinions are highly valued, therefore we ask you to contact us with any questions or concerns. As our customer, we want to ensure that you are always satisfied. Unfortunately, sometimes a customer regret a purchase of different reasons. Here below, we have gathered all the information you need to know on how to proceed with a possible withdrawal of your purchase, replacement of the product or complain about your purchase.

    Please note that the information below is intended for costumers in Sweden.

    That you’ll be satisfied as a customer is something extremely important to us.

    Therefore, we always offer you open purchase and withdrawal rights for 14 days, which is in accordance with the statutory cancellation period. This means that within 14 days after we have sent the goods to you, you must notify us of any remorse. This must be done in writing, by mail or by e-mail to hello@smartinthedark.com Do not forget to inform us about your order number! The product should not be used, but only tested because of hygienic reasons. If you return the product you should include the original packaging with all price tags, labels and packaging your product was in.

    We reserve the right to deduct the purchase price if the product has been used for a long time or showing wear and / or all labels and packaging are not included. You, the customer is responsible for the product until it reach us. So preferably send the product with a traceable business package. We do not pay for the postage for returned packages. You as the buyer are responsible for the return in repentance.

    Refunds

    A refund will always be made promptly and no later than 14 days after we accepted your return / complaint in accordance with Swedish law. If products are returned, you are responsible for the freight cost of the return.

    Replacement

    Please note that we change the color and / or size of your purchase, but we do not change an item to another. When replacing an item you are responsible for the freight cost of the return. But we stands for the shipping back to you. If the wrong product was sent to you, we are liable for the return. We will send you the right item with a return shipping label that you can easily put on your packaging and send it back to us.

    Note that when you replace your product, you are no longer in the right of withdrawal..

    Reclaims

    Despite our quality control of each product, it may still happen that products in some cases are defective. Should you receive a defect or wrongly supplied product, contact us as soon as possible, but no later than within 14 days, if the item is damaged on delivery. In a complaint, we make an investigation of the product. We pay for the freight at erroneous deliveries and complaints. A refund will always be made promptly and no later than 14 days after we accepted your return / complaint in accordance with Swedish law.

    Return policy

    That you’ll be satisfied as a customer is something extremely important to us. Do not forget to inform us about the order number! The product should only have been carefully tested. Always enclose the original packaging and any tags. A deduction of part or the entire amount can be made if the product is deemed as imprudent used and / or the original packaging and tags are not sent back. The decrease in value is assessed based on the product’s condition and if labeling / price tags and packaging are returned. To be entitled to receive the full amount of the returned goods it should only has been used in the same degree that would be accepted by a physical store. You should therefore make sure before you submit the product that it is in the same condition as a physical store would accept to receive it.

    Always remember to contact us before the change / cancellation / claim. Upon return or exchange of products, you pay for the return cost.

    Have you shopped for a sum that gives you the delivery free of charge, you will be liable for the postage of the return. The same applies if you return an item, so your total order becomes less than the limit for delivery free of charge.

    After we have received your item and verified that the product and packaging is not damaged or worn, we make a refund of part or all of the purchase price (except where the product is not expected to be possible to sell, which means that we do not make any refund). Payment will be made promptly within 14 days after we have received and accepted your return. If you paid with a PayPal account, the money is paid back to the account. Have you paid with VISA or MasterCard through PayPal the refund is made to the card you used at the payment for the order.

    Unclaimed packages will be charged with a fee of  16 Euro (150 SEK).

    When a product is changed it is counted as an accepted buy and a replacement is not valid any more. If you still want to return the item you will be charged 20 Euro (199 SEK) in shipping and handling.

     Depreciation

    From 2014-06-13, there is a law in Sweden that imply that you as a consumer does not have the right to receive the full amount of the returned product. If the product has been handled carelessly and lost value, you as a consumer has the liability. The decrease in value is assessed based on the product’s condition and on labeling / price tags and packaging returned. To be entitled to receive the full amount of the returned goods the product may only has been used in the same degree that would be accepted by a physical store. You should therefore make sure before you submit the product that it is in the same condition as a physical store would accept to receive it.

    You as the buyer is responsible for the decline in the value of the goods if it has been handled in a way that has not been necessary to determine the characteristics of the product. This means that you should be able to test the product in the same way as you would in a physical store. Should the products been tested in ways other than what is stated above then it is regarded as the product is used, which means that you can only obtain part or nothing at all of the purchase price. Impairment is assessed after we have received the item. Do not forget to return the original packaging, labels and tags.
